As a psychologist, Ellie emphasises the therapeutic relationship as integral to any successful therapy. She brings warmth, empathy and curiosity, and fosters a trusting and safe space between the client and therapist.
Ellie has experience working with adults and adolescents in the forensic field and much of her work has involved working with people who are experiencing a range of difficulties such as: addiction, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, grief and loss, and personality disorders.
Ellie uses a variety of evidence-based approaches including Psychodynamic approaches, person-centred therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioural therapy, and her work is also informed by attachment and schema frameworks.
