Nick is a registered Clinical Psychology Registrar with a genuine compassion towards each individual’s unique mental health experience. Nick has a warm and approachable therapeutic style. He views the development of a collaborative, trusting, and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship as a central container for supporting each individual’s unique healing journey. He has an empathetic and strengths-based approach when working with people from all backgrounds and has particular interest working with individuals with ADHD, from CALD backgrounds, and for those wanting to explore difficulties pertaining to life purpose and direction.

 

Nick also works for the charity Waves of Wellness where he facilitates 8-week group surf mental health therapy programs for adults and adolescents. He is a big believer in a holistic approach to promoting positive mental health. Additionally, Nick has an interest in mindfulness and has spent periods of time on meditation retreats. 

 

Prior to training as a psychologist, Nick worked extensively with adolescents in the schooling system, specifically he facilitated conversations with adolescents aiming to reduce the stigma associated with mental ill health with the youth mental health organisation batyr.

 

Outside of work, Nick spends his time in nature, surfing, yoga, and spending quality time with family and friends.
